JOANNA BROOKES
JOANNA BROOKES was born in London and trained at Webber-Douglas. Her theatre work includes productions at the Redgrave Theatre, Farnham, Leicester Phoenix, York Theatre Royal, the Wilde Theatre Bracknell, Southwold Summer Theatre and the Shaw Theatre London in a wide range of plays including Stepping Out, The Boyfriend, Table Manners, Pack of Lies, and The Gingerbread Man. She has also toured both the UK and Australia with the Mediaeval Players in The Taming of The Shrew. At the Warehouse Theatre Croydon she appeared in Roister Doister, Hold On Hortense!,The Bells of Notre Dame and received acclaim for her performance as Fat Mags in Fat Souls. Highlights amongst a mass of television roles are Evie Curdle in John Mortimer's Titmuss Regained and June in Julian Mitchell's Screen One film Survival of the Fittest. Recently she played Silvia in Silvia's Wedding at the Mill at Sonning and was just brill in Dick Barton and the Tango of Terror at Croydon and on tour. She once loaned a cake-tin to Miranda Richardson.
